When builders need a pool built, they call us
This Balmain pool was built for one of the builders we work closely with. That partnership is a quiet endorsement we value: the trade knows exactly what good work looks like, and they chose us to deliver their client’s pool. We handled the design coordination, engineering, excavation, shell, finishes and surrounds while the builder completed the home.
The finished pool holds its own against any backyard in the inner west: a glass mosaic waterline over a full beadcrete interior, crystal grey marble paving and coping, a copper outdoor shower on the white brick boundary wall, and slimline black fencing that lets the garden read as one space.
No street access, and a tree that wasn’t moving
Inner west terraces don’t leave room for an excavator down the side. The only way in was through the rear, across the neighbouring Woolworths site, and that access had to be negotiated, scheduled and shared. Every dig, pour and delivery was planned around when we could physically reach the backyard.
The site also carried a tree protection zone around the established magnolia at the rear. Excavation near the zone was done carefully and deliberately, protecting the root system while still cutting a full-size pool into a small yard. The finished garden shows why it was worth the trouble: the tree now shades the pool it nearly prevented.

Rear access via Woolworths
No street access meant machines and materials came through the neighbouring Woolworths site, negotiated and scheduled around their operations.
Tree protection zone
Careful excavation around the established magnolia’s protected root zone. The tree stayed, and now shades the finished pool.
Beadcrete interior
A full beadcrete internal finish: durable, luminous in the water, and a clear step up from standard render.
Glass mosaic waterline
A fine mosaic waterline band ties the interior to the crystal grey marble coping above it.
Marble paving & coping
Crystal grey marble laid across the terrace and coping, wrapping the pool and BBQ area in one continuous surface.
Copper outdoor shower
A copper shower mounted on the painted brick boundary wall. A small detail that makes the pool area work harder.
Courtyard landscape
Lawn, planting and a BBQ terrace complete the yard, with slimline black fencing keeping the whole garden visually connected.
